About

India, at the present moment is going through a massive transformation. It is being hailed as one of the emerging Superpowers in the world. While there are aspects that show India in a positive light to the world, there are hidden, dark aspects of this growth that are gradually eroding the essence of this beautiful country. Save Indian Family has been fighting for more than a decade to eradicate one of the most destructive social evils of Indian society- Gender biased laws and its abuse by some people. Members of Save Indian Family have commenced a cycle rally – Maha Rally which started from Kerala to travel upto Kashmir for spreading awareness of the messages “Save Energy, Save Earth” , “Stay Healthy” and “Save Indian Family”.
Description
Save Indian Family members have commenced a cycle rally which started from Kerala and will travel upto Kashmir for spreading awareness of the messages “Save Energy, Save Earth” , “Stay Healthy”(these first two messages are by other groups who are involved in this rally) and “Save Indian Family”. The riders will attend the 5th SIF National Meet at Nagpur since the rally is planned to reach Nagpur on 14th/15th August, and then whoever interested in going further(finish point is at Khardungla, Ladakh) can re-start the rally on 17th August morning.
Tributary rallies could be joining this main cycle rally, coming in from other parts of the country (Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, etc., ie from places which may not fall in the path of the rally), and finally converging at Nagpur on 14th/15th of August, or they could be town/city rallies in which people join for a while (in the evening hours) and ride through the the main centers of the place which the Maha rally reaches that particular day. Any vehicle could be used for participating in this rally. Maha Rally will lead the way while other motorised vehicles follow their lead (Greens first!).
The route as per the current plan is to Start from Thrissur on the 29th of July, 2013, passing through Coimbatore, Salem, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, Leh(Ladakh), finishing at Khardungla Pass(a total of around 4000 KMs). The rally is to cover around 100 KM per day, with sufficient breaks in between and buffers in case of contingencies, to ensure the health and well being of the participants. The rally will join various events which could be organised by the local groups associated with the messages/purpose of this rally and ensure that the awareness of these messages are spread in a comprehensive manner among the citizens of India. As you would agree, spreading these messages are of prime importance to the well-being of the citizens of India and hence for the progress of the nation itself in general.Tributary rallies: Many other rallies(relay-format too possible, if participants can only ride for a short distance) from various parts of India (which is not enroute the main rally) can join the main rally at a convenient point along the main rallies route, and proceed to converge and attend the 5th SIF National meet (http://on.fb.me/16HFR80), at Nagpur (conducted from 16th to 18th August, 2013).
